The HP JetDirect 500X is a three-port external print server for Token Ring networks. It is designed for businesses to connect up to three printers with a parallel port or connect supported HP All-in-one peripherals to a network in one location. It includes a DB9 port for Type 1, 2 or 6 shielded cable and an RJ-45 port for unshielded twisted-pair cable. The HP Web JetAdmin and JetAdmin software functions provide easy installation and operation, and the Internet Print Protocol supports high-level printing over the Internet. The JetDirect 500X supports major network OSs for Token Ring networks.
