Measuring just 22.5 x 16.4 x 3.5 cm and weighing a mere 920g, the ASUS Eee 701 PC is most certainly portable. This half-UMPC, half-laptop hybrid has to be the best mobile internet experience you will get. The new Eee stands for Easy to learn work and play, Excellent internet experience and Excellent mobile computing experience.
With a Pentium Processor, 512MB of RAM, 2GB Solid State Disc (SSD) Memory, 802.11b/g WiFi, the ASUS Eee 701 PC will be able to handle most tasks. Using a Linux-variant operating system requires only 15 seconds to boot. Microsoft die-hards should note that Windows documents are compatible with the ASUS Eee 701 PC . It'll ship with Open Office, Firefox and Skype, but you can install any number of other open-source applications.
