Midland Computers operates its own fully managed and self contained Internet Service Provider and Business Data Centre under the brand Midland Internet. This, combined with our own Internet Programming and Design house, allows us to offer an almost limitless number of bespoke products and services.

Power

• Server room power filtered and sustained by an industrial UPS
• Auto start generator to ensure continuous operation. Tested weekly, bi-annual load test
• Monitoring linked into our alert systems providing immediate notification of power failure
• Estimated running time with current fuel reserve - in excess of 4 days

Environmental Considerations

• ISO 14001 - environmental management (In progress)
• Switch to green/renewable energy to offset high energy use
• WEEE standard hardware disposal undertaken

Network Security

• All systems protected by advanced Firewall Security systems with Intrusion Detection and OSI Level 4 Stateful Packet Inspection
• IP Source/Destination, TCP/UDP Source/Destination, Ingress and Egress filtering
• Redirect UDP/TCP Ports (Port Forwarding), Redirect IP (forwarding)
• Traffic rate-limits / Quality of Service
